Continental Airlines Charging for Food on Board in the Fall

Continental Airlines has announced that they will be charging for food on board flights that are less than six hours. Some International routes and first or business class will continue to get free food. This is a change in policy because Continental Airlines is one of the last to provide free food on flights. Snack and soft drinks will remain free. Passengers will probably want to bring their own food on board flights. They can either buy food at the airport before boarding or bring something from home. You cannot bring liquids on board unless you put it into your 3-1-1 bag. That includes salad dressing too. The 3-1-1 is a clear plastic bag of one quart size. The bottles must be of three ounces or less and you can only bring one of these on board per person. Carry on luggage is becoming more and more popular as airlines continue to add charges to your fare. Between charging for food, pillows, better seats, your ticket price keeps increasing.
